Medicare Payment Info to Be Updated Annually

Medicare physician payment information will now be available to the public on a yearly basis. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

In 2014, a federal judge overturned an injunction from 1979 that prevented the information from being made public. After the injunction was overturned, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) released one year’s worth of payment information. Despite concerns from physicians, the CMS has decided to update the payment information on an annual basis, although no official time frame has been set for the next update.
