Meaningful Use Stage 2 Numbers Released

To counter reports of low Meaningful Use Stage 2 attestation, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONCHIT) released official Stage 2 numbers. So reports Clinical Innovation and Technology.

At the end of November, 16,455 eligible professionals and 1,681 eligible hospitals have attested to stage 2. In order to be eligible for Stage 2, providers must have completed two years of attestation for MU Stage 1. Currently, only 56% of eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals and 42% of eligible professionals meet this threshold
