Missouri Approves Assistant Physicians

Missouri is taking steps to help provide healthcare to rural and underserved areas of the state. So reports Modern Healthcare.

A new proposal passed by the Missouri state legislature would let licensed medical school graduates practice medicine and prescribe medication without completing a residency.

If the bill is signed into law medical school graduates could become assistant physicians and work as primary care physicians in rural areas.
