Med Students Need More Exposure to EHRs

An editorial published in the Annals of Family Medicine encourages schools to give med students more hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHRs). So reports Fierce EMR.

Currently, medical schools limit student access to EHRs. However, increasing their exposure to EHRs will make them more prepared to take patient histories with the EHR while still paying attention to the patient. Additionally, med students need to know how to use the safety features and health management functions of EHRs.
