VA Scandal Highlights Wait Time Issue

The scandal at the VA is highlighting a growing problem: the shortage of doctors is leading to an increased wait time to see a doctor, even among those with insurance. So reports Forbes.

A survey performed earlier this year by Merritt Hawkins shows patients wait an average of 18 days to see a physician for a scheduled appointment. In Boston, the average wait for the scheduled appointment was 45.5 days.
