Have You Fully Converted to Electronic Medical Records?

For doctors who are not ready to make the conversion to a full electronic medical record system yet or are having a hard time deciding which one, there is a solution: ChartLogic’s Paperless Office.

It is a way for doctors to try out an electronic medical record before committing to purchasing a full-scale system. ChartLogic’s system offers everything a basic electronic medical record system has without the need to make changes to the current methods used by the practice. For example, if the practice still relies on transcription and dictation, the Paperless system allows them to still use that it. All that doctors need to do is scan or import transcriptions into the PaperLess system.

Similarly, a doctor that uses handwritten or typed notes can also import or scan those notes into the PaperLess system. PaperLess stores all paper electronically, giving doctors a paperless office.

ChartLogic PaperLess Office is a standalone, HIPAA compliant electronic medical record system. When the practice decides to fully implement an electronic medical record system, PaperLess works with the new product to transition seamlessly. The Paperless Office is completely integrated with ChartLogic Practice Management.

In addition, ChartLogic PaperLess Office will also interface with more than 125 different medical practice management systems. When it is time to convert the paper charts into electronic ones, ChartLogic makes it easy with a batch-scanning module. The module allows staff to choose when they want to scan the documents into the system.

A built-in workflow module means all users can queue up documents to view. Staff can send documents, view lab reports, send documents for approval and the documents are audited and tracked along the way. PaperLess Office charts are searchable by document type and date of service. Each document can also be seen in a thumbnail view, so it is easy to find the right document without paging through the entire paper chart.

PaperLess tracks all documents via an electronic database and PaperLess makes it easy to archive documents.
