When searching for an electronic medical record system, small to medium sized practices often encounter a one-size fits all attitude. Unfortunately, what works well for a large practice doesn’t always work for a solo practitioner. Now smaller practices have PatientClick, a web-based electronic medical service system designed with solo practitioners and small medical clinics in mind.

PatientClick is customizable, user-friendly and available on multiple platforms (mac, pc, smartphone, and iPad). It is a specialty-specific software service and covers more than 30 medical specialties. With 24/7 customer support, no hardware to install and minimal set up time, PatientClick has everything necessary to run a successful practice.

PracticeClick has an easy-to-navigate interface, customizable dashboards, an integrated patient portal, and multi-provider communication tools. Doctors can fill prescriptions electronically via PatientClick Erx. Additionally, the module checks drug interactions, including drug-to-drug, drug-to-allergy and drug-to-food interactions.

With PatientClick’s lab interface, the test ordering and record keeping process is streamlined. Results are received electronically and automatically populate the EMR.

The system’s customizable ‘encounter notes’ module gives physicians the flexibility to create encounter notes in a way that works best for their practice. A built-in patient portal lets patients schedule appointments, request prescription refills, send the doctor a message and view health records over the internet. PatientClick includes an electronic health data exchange, which is certified to use both Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) standards so that doctors can securely exchange patient health information with other medical providers.

PatientClick makes it easy to scan both printed documents and clinical images with an Image and Document Management module. The module supports JPG, TIF, GIF, BMP, PDF and Word documents. PatientClick’s standard transcription/dictation module lets doctors both export dictation and import transcription. The medical billing module lets physicians verify insurance eligibility, submit claims electronically, interface with clearinghouses, and track claims. In addition to all the great features, PatientClick EHR qualifies for “meaningful use” and has earned complete EHR certification.
