There isn’t a doctor alive, who isn’t feeling the push to convert to electronic health records. Still, no matter how many financial incentives and government time limits are set there are physicians who feel that the initial cost and the inevitable problems found in such a massive conversion outweigh the benefits. One electronic health record vendor is addressing these concerns.
Practice Fusion is a fully web based electronic health record system, one that claims a doctor can activate the electronic health records in under five minutes. As a completely web based program Practice Fusion offers a highly user-friendly system that requires no expensive computer system or on-site training. As with any system, there are various modules and components that doctors can choose from allowing the physician to customize the system to their practice. The standard Practice Fusion system incorporates all the basic practice management components, patient management, e-prescribing and billing with a few interesting features like online charting and personal health records. For charting Practice Fusion gives the doctor an online option. Instead of entering the chart information by hand or waiting for transcription of dictated notes, Practice Fusion gives doctors the ability to login to the patient record then create, sign and note the chart from anywhere including a home computer or flash enabled smart phone. Another interesting feature included with Practice Fusion is Patient Fusion. Patient Fusion is a free online personal health record specifically for the patients. More and more patients are demanding online access to their medical records and Patient Fusion gives doctors the ability to do that. With a click of the mouse, doctors that use Practice Fusion will be able to grant their patients instant access to their own medical records, including medication and immunization history. Once patients get access to their records, they can view fully updated health records. This gives patients control and portability in their records, but does not make them solely responsible for updating their personal health records. Every time the patient interacts with a Practice Fusion doctor, their health record is updated in real time. Not only are patients able to view their own records but patients can use Patient Fusion and by extension Practice Fusion to make appointments, request prescription refills and email their doctors. Patient Fusion is a standard feature with Practice Fusion so there is no additional cost or wait time on installation. | |||

The earlier the better in implementation.
Would it be possible for Globalization of the technology.
Bigger magnanimous organizations should be putting their funds and inputs for technological advancement. Then make it freely available for all the doctors with open minded practicing confidence. This would not only allow for coming together of all the departments together but also development in medical advancements.
Pls. do let me know its developments.
Thank You
