MediConnect was one of the first to develop an application that transfers paper records into a unified electronic format that can be securely delivered over the Internet. The company recently acquired PassPortMD which is innovative software for creating and maintaining personal health records.
In Use
Once MediConnect receives a hard copy of your requested record it is immediately converted into digital format and alerts you by email that your records are ready to access. The records you requested are available in PDF or TIFF format and text via OCR technology that allows the user to search for specific text within the record.
Advantages
Disadvantages
My Opinion MediConnect’s RapidRetrieve web application is very easy to use and does a multitude of operations. I was impressed by how simple it was to use and the system is set up so you can easily navigate and track your record requests. This system can be used health care providers, insurance companies and consumers. This is very innovative software that I highly recommend. | |||
