NextGen Healthcare Company’s EMR (Electronic Medical Records) version 5.4.29 has received the Certified Commission for Healthcare Information Systems, Inc.’s (CCHIT) certified mark for EHR (electronic health record) products. This industry-wide seal of approval provides a consensus-based benchmark for ambulatory products such as EMR. In a statement from Sara Corley, NextGen’s Chief Medical Officer, “This is the way to improve quality.” |

Advanced Data Systems Corporation, a provider of Practice Management systems announced that its medical practice management systems are PQRI compliant. Advanced Data Systems Corporation has announced that its medical practice management systems are PQRI compliant. The Physicians Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI), which is also referred to as "pay for performance," is program developed by CMS (Medicare) as a way of having medical practices report more detail on patient progress and outcomes simply by utilizing their practice management software as the vehicle for providing this enhanced data.
