Physicians More Worried About Payment Than Patient Care: Survey

The annual survey conducted by the Commonwealth Fund and the Kaiser Family Foundation found that physicians are most worried about payments, not patient care. So reports AAFP.

Of the survey respondents 55 percent are primary care physicians paid based on the quality or efficiency of care, while 34 percent are paid as fee-for-service. Over half of those responding said that increased reliance on quality metrics are actually diminishing quality of care.
