Smart Device Usage Grows in Clinical Setting

The 2014 HIMSS Analytics Mobile Devices Study shows an increase use of tablets and other smart devices in the clinical setting. So reports Fierce Mobile Healthcare.

Approximately 50% of the hospitals participating in the survey use tablets and other smart devices, while 69% of the physicians use a combination of devices (tablets, smartphones, PCs) to access data.

Meanwhile, more than a third of the respondents believe the devices will drive efficiency. Only a small percentage feel that they can access everything they need from such devices.
