CVS Pharmacy Adds Another Health System to its Network

CVS Pharmacy is taking another step closer to coordination of care. So reports Kaiser Health News.

Early next year CVS Pharmacy and it's 900 Minute Clinics will begin exchanging electronic health records with MedStar's 10 Hospitals. MedStar is located in Washington D.C and Maryland and has 4,000 doctors.

Per the agreement, any care a patient receives at CVS will be entered into their electronic medical records and viewable by the MedStar doctor. As of now, CVS has 41 similar agreements with other healthcare systems.
