Doctors Remain Overworked Despite Technology

The Physicians Foundation conducted a poll of 20,000 doctors and found 85% had implemented an electronic medical record system. So reports Healthcare IT News.

The survey found 47% of those with the EMRs felt the system detracted rather than enhanced patient interaction. In addition, 80% of respondents reported feeling overwhelmed by their workload, with many of them indicating they wanted to reduce their workload significantly.
