Upfront Payments Can Reduce Cancer Treatment Costs

A study by UnitedHealthcare shows that up-front payments for episodes of care can reduce waste and contain the costs of treating cancer. So reports EHR Intelligence.

The study, published in the Journal of Oncology Practice, shows that predetermined payments for certain cancer treatments can reduce the overall cost of treatment by one-third.
