Detailed consumer data is being used to compile profiles of current and potential patients in an attempt by healthcare professionals to get insight into possible sicknesses on the horizon. So reports Bloomberg.

The information - which can range from cancelled gym memberships, junk food purchases or even shopping for larger sized clothes - is compiled by data brokers from a variety of sources, including public records and credit card transactions.

In the future this information could be used by your physician to determine your health risk.
