Workgroup Recommends Leaving EHRs Unregulated

An FDA workgroup has recommended that healthcare technology, such as EHR systems, should not be treated as medical devices. So reports Government Health IT.

According to the workgroup, the EHR systems should remain unregulated. This recommendation is applauded by the Electronic Health Record Association, which represents 40 EHR developer companies.
