Second Major Security Breach at Florida Hospital

Fort Lauderdale's Holy Cross Hospital has experienced its second major security breach since 2010. So reports Healthcare IT News.

The most recent breach took place over a nearly two year period—between November of 2011 and August of 2013—and impacted approximately 10,000 patients.

The breach stemmed from an employee, who has since been fired, accessing patients’ confidential medical information and Social Security Numbers for tax fraud purposes.
