Obama's Budget Reflects Health ITs Importance

President Obama’s budget includes $11.8 billion for health information technology, reports Fierce Health IT.

This amount is an increase of 2% from the 2012 budget amount. The Health and Human Services department gets more than 60% ($7.14 billion) while the Department of Defense gets 28%. The remaining 10% goes to the VA.
