An employee at Lawrence Melrose Medical Electronic Record Inc. in Massachusetts improperly accessed patients electronic medical records, reports Government Health IT.
Lawrence, which operates at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in the greater Boston area, must notify the Office of Civil Rights. It is not known how many patients were affected by the data breach.
