Destroying Health Data Difficult But Necessary

Health data needs to be destroyed, but it is often hard to do while staying within environmental guidelines, according to Government Health IT.

Federal agencies are not allowed to dispose of electronic waste in landfills or incinerators. However it is still important to destroy them because health records have a street value fifty times greater than financial records, making it that much more important to protect them by disposing of them properly.
