Surge Seen in Adoption of EMRs in 2012

Hospitals are increasing their adoption rate for electronic medical records, according to a report by Frost & Sullivan.

The report suggests that by 2012, licensing for new electronic medical record systems will hit $6.5 billion, reports Fierce EMR. The surge is driven, in part, by the Medicare and Medicaid incentives and new Meaningful Use criteria. Click here to read the full article.
