Turbo-Doc (www.turbo-doc.com) is an electronic medical record system to assist physicians and medical staff. The software is designed to assist in documenting a patient’s visit from the front desk to the back end. It is customizable and flexible with built in features to save time and to speed up the process in handling medical records. The system is designed to be used with a pen based laptop, touch screen, hand held devices as well as a work station. The software can be used by more than one physician and can be customized for any specialty.


In Use
This software has multi modules and can be accessed remotely. Turbo-Doc has a variety of built in features, including easy access to a patient’s prior visits as well as current chart data. It also has a problem list that maintains a separate chronic and acute list for each patient. It also has standard patient education forms or the ability to create your own and they can be printed out and distributed to the patient. It simplifies and speeds up the entire patient visit and documents everything needed for treatments and future visits.

Technology employed
It is recommended that a Pentium or higher processor be used with at least 356 megabytes of RAM and 100MB of hard disk space. It is compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT, and Windows 2000. It can also be used with Windows XP and Vista. There is a Microsoft SQL Server version available for larger database requirements.

Ease of use, configuration, and deployment
The software is easy to install, configure and deploy. It is user friendly and only takes a few minutes to learn how to use the intuitive screens. There is online support available as well as resources and a forum to assist with any problems you may have.

There are different versions of the Turbo-Doc software available and there are also options that can be purchased, including the import & scanning module. The Turbo-Doc Complete Standard Program is $4,000.

My Opinion
Turbo-Doc is a complete system that will handle all aspects of documenting patient visits and care. The nice thing about this software it is completely customizable to an individual physician no matter their specialty. It can also be used by several physicians in the same medical practice. Another thing that impressed me about this software was the ability to print out patient education forms and also admission orders. This is a complete robust system that can be used by the entire medical staff.
