WellFX Engages Patients in Healthier Habits

WellFX is a patient-centered, provider-directed private and secure social platform designed specifically for healthcare providers to engage and empower patients in better managing their health.

As a social patient engagement platform, WellFX addresses patient self-accountability in a unique way because it combines technology, educational content and group moderation provided by clinicians. Prescribed by the provider to the patient, WellFX completely changes the potential trajectory of positive clinical outcomes through its ability to influence and build a large community of patients that support each other with a shared goal of wellness.

Beyond the technology, WellFX has pioneered the first prescriptive exercise and nutrition program called Resolution. The video-based fitness and healthy eating program targets patients living sedentary lifestyles and helps them to make long-term behavioral changes.

It affords patients the ability to fit exercise into their lives in the privacy of their own home or on-the-go from their mobile device because there is no need for a gym. Accompanied by a complete nutritional guide and healthy eating plans, Resolution gradually effects dietary change until healthy eating becomes habitual. Physician moderation and interaction allows patients to share struggles and victories and seek advice from their provider.

A Goals module allows providers, health educators and care coordinators the ability to help patients set measurable goals and track their progress toward achieving them. In addition, WellChat provides real-time video interaction for ongoing follow-ups, wellness coaching and further engaging patients to achieve positive health outcomes.

Description of Technology Employed

WellFX is a cloud-delivered, HIPAA-compliant and secure mobile-enabled platform that is scalable to an unlimited number of users and interactions. Advanced telehealth technology “WellChat” is an HTML 5/in browser MMS encrypted video chat.

WellFX’s advanced functionality to protect patient anonymity and personal health information blends with the user-friendly interface that is similar to many social platforms available today. Designed to address cultural relevance and health literacy, WellFX is a multilingual platform available today in both Spanish and English and can be translated into any language.
